About the Speaker

Dr. Andre A. Levchenko has been an applications scientist at TA Instruments for three years. Before joining TA Instruments Dr. Levchenko worked for analytical instrumentation companies and research laboratories specialized in thermal analysis and calorimetry. Andre finished his PhD at Russian Academy of Sciences in condensed matter physics working on liquid-crystalline polymers. He won a Russian Presidential scholarship to continue his advanced studies in materials science at University of California - Davis. He worked at Max-Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz and Dresden (Germany) while studying for his PhD thesis, and also as a researcher in Peter A. Rock Thermochemistry Laboratory at University of California - Davis. He has more than 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
